Catechetical leaders are professional ministers who have been chosen to oversee a program of formation (children, youth, adult, sacramental preparation, etc.) in a faith community. Ongoing formation is essential to being an effective catechetical leader. The Office of Evangelization & Catechesis, in collaboration with other ministry organizations and professionals, has currated the following courses to help catechetical leaders with that ongoing formation.
Orientation to Ministry is a course designed for those new to catechetical ministry.

The Called to Accompany series invites youth ministry volunteers to learn and explore the many aspects that make a parish youth ministry successful.

Creating a Safe Environment Teen Volunteer Training is an in-person training that takes place at the parish level. The training includes prayer, review of the Code of Conduct for Minors, and unpacking different scenarios that teens might encounter in order to applying the rules from the Code of Conduct for Minors.
