Youth Ministry

WELCOME to the landing page for Roman Catholic Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester!  We are so glad you’re here!  It’s been a tough year and our world is tired.  However, the season of Advent is upon us and it is time to spread LIGHT into the darkness!  Can you answer the call to be a bearer of light to the world?  Can you invite others to share that light as well?

We hope you will stay awhile and explore. We have added Advent resources on many of our pages, so take some time to discover what will help you best connect to Christ in this season of JOY and HOPE and please join us in praying that ADVENT peace might fill our world!

Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester embraces a comprehensive and multifaceted approach that utilizes the gifts of the entire faith community to minister to, with, by and for young people in grades 6-12. Our goals reflect those outlined by the U.S. Bishops in the 1997 document, Renewing the Vision:

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today.

To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
