    1. Set up a creation station for children to create a flower pot for Mom after Masses or during Faith formation. Invite kids to present them at Mother’s day Mass during a blessing of moms! (5/1/22)
    2. Share a story of HOPE, then invite all children in faith formation to fill out the All Things are Possible with God worksheet. Create a wonderful wall of Hope in your parish for all to see! (5/1/22)
    3. Use the Hope videos to begin a family session on making the world a better place. Invite them to focus on where they can watch for opportunities to share hope with a hurting world. Create a list of ways you can share hope in the world, using their answers! (5/1/22)
    4. Celebrate the Month of Mary with a May Crowning and one of our Mary themed stories or videos. Invite kids to make the flower fruit sandwiches to complete the event! (5/15/22)
    5. Gather at a park to play Birdwatching Bingo with parishioners around the Feast of the Ascension. Talk about the bird as a symbol and round out your gathering with balloon games and Ascension ice cream floats! (5/15/22)
    6. Invite families to create their own word searches as an activity to learn about the Ascension and share them with another family in the program to create some community and interaction. (5/15/22)
    7. Around Pentecost, teach your students about the EPICLESIS during Mass. Look at the various forms of the Eucharistic Prayer and how the Holy Spirit is invoked during the Consecration (follow this link: https://catholic-resources.org/ChurchDocs/RM3-EP1-4.htm). Reinforce that as the Holy Spirit is called upon the offerings at the altar, we are also asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen us. (5/29/22)
    8. Teach families about St. Phillip Neri, who was especially connected to the Holy Spirit in his devotion. Then, encourage families to make a drawing of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost! This could be done mural style or gallery style. (5/29/22)
    9. Gather parishioners intergenerationally on Pentecost. Share a pot luck meal with foods from everyone’s respective heritages, play Symbols of the Holy Spirit and end with a prayer service using the Pentecost Sunday sequence and the Holy Spirit Pentecost Song. (5/29/22)
    10. Help the small children in your program to imagine about the Holy Spirit. Begin by inviting them to close their eyes and play the strong wind blowing sound effect. Next, invite them to imagine who they would see if the Holy Spirit arrived in front of them. Some say the Holy Spirit is a dove, the wind, or a flame, allow their imagination to flow as they draw and write about how the Holy Spirit appears. Children can feel closer to God when they can imagine who God is and make God more tangible! (5/29/22)
