Children & Youth
“Dear young people, aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less. Then you will see the light of the Gospel grow every day, within you and around you.”       ~ Pope Leo XIV

Our diocese is committed to nurturing the faith of our youngest members. Parish programs are designed to provide a robust education on the basics of our Catholic faith along with an encounter with the person of Jesus Christ. Through our partnership with parents, who are the primary catechists of their children, formation begins at the preschool level and progresses throughout the high school years.  Our goal is to teach the young people of our diocese what it means to be a missionary disciple and follow the Gospel in their daily lives, serving others, and God.

Through our Children and Youth Programs, participants grow in:

  • Faith and prayer, learning to recognize God’s presence in their daily lives.

  • Understanding of Scripture and the sacraments, discovering the richness of the Catholic tradition.

  • Moral and spiritual formation, developing virtues that guide choices and relationships.

  • Service and compassion, responding to the needs of others with love and generosity.

  • Community and belonging, forming lasting friendships rooted in shared faith.

  • Leadership and responsibility, taking active roles in liturgy, outreach, and parish life.

  • Respect and stewardship, caring for creation and the gifts God has entrusted to them.

  • Confidence in sharing their faith, becoming witnesses of Christ in their schools and communities.
