- I can help my family
- I can help God’s family
Eligibility

- The book is designed for the Girl Scout and her parent(s) or group leader to work together.
- Diocesan and Girl Scout Youth Protection policies must be followed.
Getting Started
- Emblem Books may be obtained by contacting at the Diocese of Rochester.
- Although the book could be completed in four to six hours, the goal of earning a religious emblem is to help the Girl Scout develop a personal relationship with God, so it is suggested that steps be spread over several weeks. This will help the Girl Scout understand that this is a long-term commitment, not a one-time project.
Scout's Role
- Actively work on the activities with her parent(s) or group leader.
- Keep the Religious Emblems Coordinator (Pastor, Youth Minister, or Faith Formation Director) informed of her progress.
Parent(s)/Group Leader Role
- Actively work on the activities with their daughter. She may need your help with Bible readings and getting information.
- Keep the Religious Emblems Coordinator (Pastor, Youth Minster, or Faith Formation Director) informed of their daughter’s progress. The leader’s guide is contained within the youth workbook.
Program Completion
- When a Girl Scout completes all steps, she is to present the book to her parish priest or the priest representative and the book is reviewed with the Girl Scout.
- After the pastor or his representative signs the book and the application form, only the application form, order form and check are sent to:
