Adult Evangelization

“Love is the greatest form of evangelization because it makes an invisible God visible.”
– St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Evangelization is the act of proclaiming the “Good News” of our salvation. The kerygma is the foundation of our Christian life and the essential message of our Catholic faith.  As Pope Francis said, “JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU, HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO SAVE YOU; and NOW HE IS LIVING AT YOUR SIDE EVERY DAY TO ENLIGHTEN, STRENGTHEN AND FREE YOU.” (Evangelii Gaudium 164)

Are you an evangelizer? Ask yourself these questions:

    1. Do you spend time deepening your relationship with Christ through prayer, participation in the Sacraments and active participation in the Church?
    2. Do you take the time to truly listen to others and affirm their human dignity?
    3. Do you witness to Christian living through your words and actions toward others?
    4. Do you offer Christian hospitality and friendship to those outside your circle and invite them to feel a sense of belonging?
    5. Do you proudly talk with others about your faith, and proclaim the truth with love and charity?
