“Dear young people, aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less. Then you will see the light of the Gospel grow every day, within you and around you.” ~ Pope Leo XIV
Youth are emerging leaders and protagonists in the Church and within their communities, schools, and society at large. Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester seeks to accompany young people in grades 6-12 by creating spaces where they are listened to attentively, taught from the heart, and sent out into the world as disciples. This vital ministry is guided by pastoral strategies developed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Pope. The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis supports this engagement with young people by providing enriching opportunities, formation, and resources.
