The Office of Evangelization & Catechesis in the Diocese of Rochester wants to extend an invitation to all catechists to join us for our first quarterly gathering where we explore different catechetical methods and topics. The topic for this gathering is “Planning for Encounter: Lessons that Lead to Christ”. The gathering will focus on catechetical lesson planning. This is a FREE course on ZOOM that will be offered TWICE during the day. Participants can join us at either session! Pre-Registration is REQUIRED! You can register for the afternoon session here or the evening session here. These sessions will be recorded for those who cannot join that day but would like to view. However, the resource links will only be shared with those who participate LIVE!

The Office of Evangelization & Catechesis is offering Youth LEAD—a weekend leadership retreat designed to help high school youth discover and develop their gifts as Catholic leaders. Youth LEAD gives young people practical leadership skills while helping them develop a deeper understanding of what it means to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. Throughout the weekend of workshops, discussions, prayer, and reflection, participants are encouraged to recognize that leadership in the Church is about responding to Christ’s call to serve, evangelize, and become the Body of Christ in the world. The retreat provides a supportive environment for retreatants to forge meaningful connections with other Catholic young people who share their passion for service and faith. More information and registration for the opportunity can be found here.
